Sign up for Licensing

You will do this either in the pop up or at the top of the screen and hit go to partner site

Plan on getting through licensing within a week.

To do so, don't get stuck trying to read everything in the chapter! It'll take a lot of time and overwhelm you with information you don't need. Most chapters have key terms as the first page and then the last page or two will be a chapter summary. Read those 2 or 3 pages and watch the chapter summary video. Then go right to the quiz. Once you pass the chapter quiz, move on. The other thing that is going to be helpful is to knock it out as fast as you can! The goal is to pass the test, not learn all the material.

Once you have completed the course, schedule your state exam ASAP!

The best prep method is to enroll in the cram course. You do not have to complete the entire cram course. Once enrolled, it will track your progress, but it is not required. The cram course is supplementary material to help you prepare. I don't recommend reading all of the material again, just take the quizzes. They're more in depth and some of them are word for word on the state exam. Take each chapter quiz and screenshot any questions you miss so you know what to review. Cram the night before the exam. Remember, the goal isn't to learn all this info. The goal is to pass the exam.

Once you've completed the licensing course, there are three remaining steps to complete the licensing process.

Schedule your State Exam

Schedule your exam ASAP! Most states allow at home proctored exams for ease of scheduling.

Get Fingerprints

Most states require fingerprinting, which can be sent electronically.

Apply for your License

You will apply for your license by going to NIPR.com and following prompts to apply for a resident insurance license.

Every state is a little different. Follow the direction below to access your state specific requirements for scheduling your exam and getting fingerprinted.

If you are still unsure of your state requirements, you can google "(state) life insurance licensing requirements."

Non-Resident Licenses

Non-resident licenses are helpful as you grow your business to enable you to work a larger region and have access to a larger client base.

When applying for non-resident licenses, you will complete a process similar to your initial application for a resident license via NIPR.com. Instead of selecting a resident application you will select non-resident and then complete the application, answering all questions the same. Once your non-resident license(s) are approved, you will need to submit them to the carriers.

See the Carrier Contact tab for more information on how to submit non-resident license information to the carriers.

Once you've finished the licensing process, reach out to Becky Harris to get added to the system for contracting.
